“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day.”

John 6:44
It’s hard to think of someone better qualified to talk about evangelism among Muslims than Nate. Almost 80 years old, he was born in Iran and has spent more than 50 years sharing the gospel alongside college students. He has a heart for Muslims and has written powerfully about the depth of God’s love for them. So how does he help someone convert? Are there tricks has he picked up? Does he know the perfect argument to turn a heart from Mohammed to Christ?
Unfortunately, there is no guaranteed formula. Clever arguments and theological tricks are not part of the way Nate works. If you ask him how Christians can learn to discuss the workings of Islam in order to evangelize among Muslims, he will just smile, nod, and quickly put you right.
“We aren’t the ones that convert Muslims, and there aren’t any magic words we say. This is a move of the Holy Spirit. It’s God’s work, not ours. The best thing we can do is build relationships, pray, and let God direct our speech and actions.” Stop looking for a method; look to Jesus.
