“I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile.”

Romans 1:16
Have you ever purchased a new product that didn’t work right? It may have been something high-end that everyone swears by, but it still did not measure up. Even the best manufacturers have some failure rate. With top-of-the-line products, it may be as low as .025% or less. That’s a pretty impressive failure rate…unless your eternal salvation depends on it! Then you want 0%. That’s what the Gospel has: a 0% failure rate.
Paul made it clear; it is the power of God that brings salvation “to everyone who believes.” That means a 0% failure rate! Not one person whom He has chosen can slip away from Him.
When you share the Gospel with another, don’t worry about whether or not it will work. God’s Son, Jesus, took on Himself all of our sin, died in our place, was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven so that all who believe that good news are united to Him. Salvation in Christ is a sure thing. His covenant faithfulness never fails.
Worried about your own salvation? Take heart. The power of God will see you through.
