“Then he continued, ‘Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them.’”

Daniel 10:12
Notice Daniel’s posture, not just his praying lips. He took a low view of his own importance, while he exalted the one true God. And that’s a very good thing, as God is more concerned about motives than He is about murmurings. He sees our heart before we ever utter a word.
Daniel’s prayer was already heard in heaven from the moment he humbled himself. God saw Daniel’s heart and His answer was already on the way. Coming from the prefiguration of Christ Himself in Daniel’s vision, it wasn’t just any old answer. It was God’s best for Daniel, in His timing, and in His way.
Our posture of humility before the Lord of the Universe is important, too. It affirms to the Almighty God, “You are in control, and I am not. I will wait expectantly for your perfect answer. It may not be what I had been praying for, but along the way, you have changed the prayer and the pray-er… me!”
While you’re waiting for the Lord’s response to your cries, don’t be afraid. He is already on the scene working it out for your good and His glory.
