"He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God."
(ACTS 1:3B)

Acts 1:1-11
I wonder what He said those 40 days. Did He tell all new parables or repeat old ones with emphasis? Probably not.

He must have surely emphasized that because of Calvary, all is ready. I wonder, did He declare that His atoning work was now complete, that all heaven is now singing, “Worthy is the Lamb who was slain”? Did He explain how Satan’s head was crushed and that his doom is sure? Did He confide with His disciples that His Father accepted His atoning work on the cross? Did He speak of how the door is now open for anyone to enter this new, exciting kingdom, whether Jew or Gentile-that anyone who believes has equal access to all the stores of heaven? Did He tell how to live as citizens of the new kingdom that does not resemble any earthly kingdom, surpassing even that of King David? Did He assure His people that He would never leave them or forsake them?

I believe so. I need to dwell more on this amazing “kingdom of heaven” that He established right here on earth, where I live. This is your kingdom, too!
