"And I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them... for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them."
(Zechariah 10:6)

Zechariah 10;
Matthew 28:16-20
Even in the crowded, demanding circumstances of our lives, the Lord sets our feet in a spacious place (see Psalm 31:8), a place to stand, a firm foundation.

The Greek thinker Archimedes said, “Give me a place to stand and rest my lever on, and I can move the earth.” He said this on the basis of his experiments with a fulcrum and long lever with which he found he could move a very heavy weight. From the firm foundation of the Lord’s place to stand, we are given authority and power to metaphorically “move the world.”

We do this by fulfilling the Great Commission, being His witnesses wherever He places us. When we faithfully do this, Jesus will fulfill His plan to the ends of the earth. When I am faithful in praying for opportunities to share the Gospel wherever I am – at home, at work – the Lord gives natural occasions to gently share the good news of His love and mercy.

When people ask us to account for the hope we have, we tell them of our God who gives us a place to stand and the ability to change the world for Him.
