“… who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.”

Psalm 103:5
Do you ever wish you were a kid again? To have your greatest concern be which game to play with friends after school rather than to be plagued with worries of careers, bills, relational hardships, and taxes? Unfortunately, as we get older, life’s issues become bigger and more complicated than when we were young.
So how are we to deal with all we face in adulthood? Start by remembering the Lord’s goodness that satisfies our souls. “For He satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things” (Psalm 107:9). As the Lord meets our needs, He not only frees us from the toils of life, but He also renews us through His goodness!
In moments when we simply want to give up, let us rest in His steadfast love that renews. “Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthians 4:16). God has shown us the greatest act of goodness through His Son, and the Holy Spirit renews us daily so that we can rest as confidently in Him as a young child without a care.
