"'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future.'"
(JEREMIAH 29:11)

Jeremiah 29:11-13
The kingdom of Judah was attacked, and Babylon’s King Nebuchadnezzar took into exile all the surviving people from Jerusalem. Leaving a plundered city and destroyed temple behind, the people had little hope. Dreams of a future in their own land were shattered. But God was not done with them. The prophet Jeremiah sent the survivors a letter declaring the Lord’s word. It instructed them to build houses, plant gardens, resume normal lives and seek the welfare of the city where God had sent them. They were to pray on its behalf because in the well-being of the city they would also find their own
well-being and eventually, deliverance.

When I was sent to prison for my rebellion against God, my hope of a future was shattered. But I read God’s letter to me, the Holy Bible. In it I was given a new hope in Jesus. I now know that He came to redeem me and you from our bondage to sin, giving us life more abundant. We have the blessed hope that one day He will return for us again. Our future is secure
in Christ!
