"Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth."
(NUMBERS 12:3)

Numbers 12:1-8
If people knew I was the most humble man on the face of the earth, I think I’d grow quite proud! Imagine being Moses, the authoritative mediator and spokesman for God… the most humble man on the earth.

While God had revealed Himself to other prophets through dreams and visions, only Moses was permitted direct access to God. Sadly, his humility and friendship with God led siblings, Aaron and Miriam, to jealousy. Moses certainly was not perfect either, but Moses’ humility and leadership point us ahead to our perfectly humble and strong Savior, Jesus.

Each of us as a child of God – as His special friends – is privileged to be His light to others. We can progressively live out our faith, shining “like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life” (Philippians 2:15-16).

We read in Numbers 11:16-17 that Moses asked God for help with his leadership responsibility. Moses humbly realized he was unable to do everything alone. But God carried Moses through. In the work of Jesus Christ,
He has done the same for you!
