"But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things..."
(1 CORINTHIANS 1:27-28)

1 Corinthians 1:26-31
If you think you are one of the “have nots” of this world, then give glory to God. His followers are made up of those who “have” and “have not” alike. If you feel foolish, weak, insignificant, even despised, take heart. For that is just the way God will use you.

He did not choose the “lowly things” because they were the only things that would have Him. God will work with any kind of lump of clay. In its lack of form or beauty, that lump is made perfect through His artful touch. When you are weak, you actually are strong because of Christ. When you are weak, you don’t try to do everything in your own strength, because you humbly realize you don’t have any. “God resists the proud, and gives grace to the humble.”

The first grace He gives you is choosing you.
He set His eye on you to follow Him and serve Him, to make disciples and baptize in His name. He chose you to tell others about the good news of salvation in Christ. Glorify Him for the work He does in you, not taking any personal glory for yourself.
