“Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

Colossians 4:6
I like to think of my grandmothers as both being dispensers of grace. When life tipped them over, grace poured out. It flowed! When people disappointed them, their passion for the Lord flowed. When crisis hit, grace overflowed. Somewhere through their journeys, they figured out that a dispenser can get clogged, and they must be on guard for that. If it clogged, it not only affected them, it affected many others. Being right, they learned, wasn’t as important as being in right relationship with the Lord and with others.
Survey yourself. Are you dispensing grace or leaving it on a shelf ? Do you give grace sparingly or generously? When life tips you over, does grace pour out? You will leave a legacy of one kind or another. It’s up to you.
Never has grace been more freely given than when God Himself came to this earth as a baby, grew up to live a perfect life in our place, and became the once-for-all sacrifice at Calvary to atone for our sins. Amazing grace! How it has flown liberally, fully, magnificently for us!
