"Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for men, for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things."
(PSALM 107:8-9)

Exodus 16
During their 40 years of wilderness wanderings, the Israelites experienced God’s gracious hospitality and provision at every turn.
Each morning, the ground was covered with fresh, sweet, nourishing manna. God’s people had only to stoop down and gather enough for that day’s use.

Like them, I bend down each morning and pick up my Bible from the floor next to my reading chair. God’s Word is the spiritual manna that I know I need on a daily basis. As I feast on His wisdom and encouragement, my gracious Host sits with me, serving up just what I need and crave. Each passage of Scripture is sufficient for me to “chew on” throughout the day.

Have you feasted on God’s Word this morning? Have you experienced the hospitality of your Heavenly Father as He calls you to sit down and fellowship with Him? His Word to us is daily filled with fresh insight our souls must have to thrive. He delights to feed us on this nourishing, powerful, life-giving manna. Without it, we navigate the “wilderness” at our peril!
