"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith..."
(HEBREWS12:2A)

Hebrews 11
What’s your favorite movie? Is it a comedy, drama, science fiction, or romance? The films we enjoy are often the ones that in some way move us deeply about a character. They connect with us on a human level. They’re stories that we can relate to.

Filmmakers often tell beautiful stories about really broken people. While we certainly do not need to see every movie that comes out, we can learn something from many of them. Like much literature and history, films help tell the real story about humanity – that we are marvelously created in God’s image and that we are horribly broken.

In Hebrews 11 God tells us a beautiful story. Within 40 verses, He reminds us that all of the Bible’s greatest heroes were broken men and women like you and me. Yet they all had one thing in common: faith – life-changing faith – in Him. And like every good story, it took time to get to the climax. So when we read about Jesus in Hebrews 12, we realize He is the one our broken heroes were trusting would come to rescue them. He has come to our rescue!
