“The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:24-26
Another amazing attribute of God’s plan for how His kingdom will come is that each one of His children has a job. He commissions all of us to engage in His work that He has prepared for us to do. However, none of us is irreplaceable. God will always complete His work, with or without us. His purposes never fail. Before leaving the Christian camp, I spent two years with a younger staff member who shared my passion for God’s creation. I enjoyed teaching him and sharing all the information I had learned about the local flora and fauna. This was reasonable foresight, because I figured if I ever needed to leave the staff, Ranger Reese could be the new camp naturalist. Remember how Paul trained others to present the gospel in a Christ-like manner. In this way, the good news of salvation was carried to the ends of the earth. If we identify more with our ministry than the One we minister about, we run the risk of losing our focus and having deep regrets. May His blessing go with you as you share the gospel, ever keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus.
