"Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ's body. We are all part of his one body, and each of us has
different work to do."
(ROMANS 12:4-5 NLT)

1 Chronicles 15:16-29; Nehemiah 12:27-43, 46
Some memorable scenes involving choirs stand out in biblical history. A choir of Levite singers and musicians set a worshipful tone as Israel returned the Ark of the Lord to Jerusalem. Amidst the music and shouts of joy, David danced and leapt with elation before God (1 Chronicles 15:25-29).

During the dedication of the new wall of Jerusalem, two Levite choirs of singers and musicians made a dramatic procession from opposite directions along the top of the wall to give thanks to the Lord (Nehemiah 12:27-43).

In our time, choirs still set a tone for worship and thanksgiving…sometimes reverent; sometimes bursting with joy. Through the concerted efforts of the singers and skilled choir directors, a beautiful offering is lifted to the Lord, elevating the hearts of the congregation into communion with God.

The Lord uses many means to draw us into worship. As each person does what He has called him or her to do, our worship of our Almighty God as the body of Christ becomes what it is meant to be.
