"I will rescue you from your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God..."
(ACTS 26:17-18A)

2 Corinthians 11:12-15;
2 Peter 2:1-19
The above words are from the mouth of the resurrected Jesus speaking to the apostle Paul. Christ is commissioning Paul to a ministry of reconciliation – to turn His sheep from the tyranny of Satan to the love of God – from darkness to light. Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 4:4 that “The god of this age [Satan] has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” Why does God even allow evil to exist?

We may never know the answer to that question. Suffice it to say that God is not the author of sin, but mysteriously uses evil for His good purposes. Satan was created good, but turned from God in his pride. He then tempted the first couple in the Garden. Adam succumbed to that temptation and plunged the entire universe into Satan’s tyranny and rule. But the Second Adam, our Lord Jesus, came to destroy Satan’s bondage. We, His children, have been set free from Satan’s dominion by the blood of Christ. Praise God that He loves us so much!
