“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.”

John 14:1-2
The world in Jesus’ day was just as troubled and burdened as ours is. Spiritual and moral courage were a necessity then as they are today. How desperately we need people firmly committed to Christian beliefs, values and principles of faith.
Even when the tragedies, crimes, and disasters of this life overwhelm us, we have the hope of eternal life. Jesus has told us that He is preparing our dwelling place in heaven. The Apostle Paul says that our “citizenship is in heaven,” and that we are to “eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ” (Philippians 3:20).
Knowing our ultimate eternal destination is heaven, and being assured of the presence of our Savior, the foundation of our faith is strengthened. We realize that in this world we will have much trouble. “But take heart!” Jesus tells us. “I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).
Our hope of eternity with Jesus is a heritage worth passing on. We can abandon ourselves to Him while the world deteriorates because we are citizens of heaven.
