"Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!"
(ROMANS 11:33)

Mark 9:19-24
Today is one of those days I call “dead reckoning” days. You know, it’s the kind of day when one must simply plow ahead and not pay too much attention to feelings. It’s a day of “going through the motions.” Perhaps this is one of those days for you, too. We each have them once in a while.

I know God is working in my life. I know I belong to Him and that He has promised to be with me every moment of my life. I know all things are possible with Him. And I believe that all things work together for good to those that love the Lord and are called to Him. I know…

It’s just that I’m longing to understand more of what He is doing. On my “dead reckoning” days I can identify with the father of the sick boy who called out, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!” (Mark 9:24) You and I can pray along with him, “Father, may your indwelling presence help me learn patience as I await understanding.” Jesus healed that boy, took him by the hand, and lifted him to his feet. Let Him do the same for you today!
