"For the sake of your name, O LORD,
forgive my iniquity, though it is great."
(PSALM 25:11)

Ephesians 3:14-19
Each day I wake, my feet hit the floor guilty. Each moment I’m wrapped in myself, my fears, my failures, my sin. In that admission, I know my need of a Savior, Jesus. I cannot run, walk, or even stumble or crawl through life without His forgiveness to lift the weight of my great guilt.

This is something we all get to disclose to others. I share the reality of my guilt and wonder of my forgiveness with the little ones God has entrusted to my husband and me. I can tell them of how Jesus forgives my angry, selfish heart, and gives me His heart instead. It’s the heart of Christ that enables me to extend love beyond selfishness.
His pardon allows me to meet my children in love instead of anger and disappointment. Through forgiveness my children and I know Jesus.

Before Jesus Christ reigned in my heart,
I cultivated my own bitter, angry, list-keeping, grudge-holding life. I didn’t know what forgiveness could mean for me. Forgiveness frees the bound heart to love bigger and deeper and wider than a heart ever expected to be possible.
